The History of a Delflandse Family

The van der Ende family in Welland, Ontario, Canada, dedicate these pages to Cornelis Adrianus (Cees) van der Ende, (1919-1990). Born in Pijnacker, (Z.H.), he was the fifth child of Cornelis Wilhelmus van der Ende and Theodora Johanna Burger. Over many years Cees devoted thousands of hours researching the history of his family and also of his beloved Pijnacker.

His work was not forgotten. A beautiful 138 page illustrated book was published outlining the history of our family and their way of life in the area known as the Delfland.

Instrumental in piecing this book together was the eldest nephew of Cees, Wim van der Ende of Rijswijk. The two daughters of Cees, Thea and Elly of Pijnacker, and his youngest brother Bert of Oudenbosch supplied much information and support throughout this project.
