Monday, March 28 - Daniel Jason  passed away at the Niagara Health System's Greater Niagara General Hospital Site in his 87th year. Funeral Mass 11:00am, Saturday, April 2nd at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

                    Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Hanuschuk) Jason. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Dan Jr. and his wife Morag of Niagara Falls, daughter Gloria Saxon of Welland, grandchildren Deborah (Darrin), Bradley, Keith (Becky), Amanda (Shane) and great grandchildren Mikellie and Madelyn. Dear brother of Mary Thorn (Tony). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Nick, John and Bill and sister Lula. Daniel and his wife owned and operated the Dairy King on Ontario Road and Jason's Variety and he was a retiree of Abitibi Paper Mill.

Saturday, May 14  - Domenic Di Marcantonio  passed away at the Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario in his 72nd year. Funeral Mass 12:15 pm, Wednesday, May 18th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

                    Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Daboll). Loving father of Julie and her husband Paul Williams, George DiMarcantonio and his wife Lori and Tony DiMarcantonio and his wife Nancy. Cherished grandfather of David and Gregory Williams, Christopher, Matthew, Rebecca, Jessica, Tricia and Michael DiMarcantonio. Dear brother of Josephine and her husband Luigi Moccia and uncle of Paul and Jeff Moccia. Dominic's passion was his dogs and he will be sadly missed by his field trial buddies. He worked at Page Hersey before opening Pat's Variety in 1971 and South Side Georges in 1980. Dominic retired in June 2004 to spend more time with his family and dogs.

Sunday, June 5 - Leonard (Len) Murawski  passed away suddenly at the cottage he loved in Lake Wah Wash Kish, with his pals John and Marion Shantry at his side in his 70th year. Funeral Mass 11:00am, Friday, June 10th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

                    Len leaves many fond memories for his devoted niece Bonnie, her husband Don Robichaud and beloved great nephews Sager and Bronson Kudrick. He is survived by his brothers Chester, Ronald and Valdy, uncle Henry Cimek (Mary), aunt Jean Szajnocha (Tony) and several nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered by his best friends and neighbours Richard and Billy and cat Chester. Predeceased by his parents Chester and Millie Murawski, grandparents Peter and Lucy Cimek and John and Vicoria Murawski, sister Loretta Shantry and great nephew Adam Shantry. He had been employed with Stelco Page Hersey for over 30 years.

Tuesday, July 12 - Gertrude Paquette (Cunningham)  passed away at Hamilton General Hosptial at the age of 86. Funeral Mass 1:30pm, Friday, July 15th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

                    Loving mother of Richard Paquette of Welland, Brenda Walker (Paul), Helen Oakes (Stan) of St. Catharines, Buddy Robbins of Welland and Kathleen of Delhi. Forever cherished by her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Cunningham, and her brothers Edward, Lorenzo, George and Art. Wednesday, September 7 - Fr. Zygmunt (Zyggy) Musielski, OMI passed away peacefully in his sleep at Copernicus Lodge. Funeral Mass:  Friday, September 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Casimir’s Parish in Toronto and on Monday, September 12th at 10:30 AM at Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg. Interment will take place at Holy Ghost cemetery in Winnipeg.

We will celebrate a special Mass for Fr. Zygmunt Musielski, OMI our Parish’s former pastor, on Sunday, October 2nd at 9:00 AM.

Saturday, November 5th - 9:00 AM - Parish Council held a "Giant Garage Sale" in our parish hall. The sale was well attended and raised $1,700 for our Building Fund. Sincere thanks to the organizers, those that helped at the sale and to all of the attendees.

Monday, November 7th - 1:00 PM - Sts. Peter & Paul Seniors Club meeting was held in the parish hall. Members were asked to bring Bazaar items for the grocery basket draw, penny sale table, white elephant table and crafts table to the meeting.

Tuesday, November 8 - Matthew Garbowski  passed away at the Niagara Health System's Port Colborne Hospital site. Funeral Mass 10:00am, Saturday, November 12th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

Thursday, November 10th -6:00 PM - Parish Council held their meeting in the rectory.

Monday, November 14th - 1:00 PM - Rosary Society will hold its meeting in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday, November 20th - 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM - Sts. Peter & Paul Seniors Club held their Annual Bazaar. New items offered this year were pizza & sausage with sauerkraut. It was a huge sucess!

Thursday, November 24 - Stanley Kolwich  passed away at the Woodlands of Sunset Seniors Home at the age of 93. Funeral Mass 1:00pm, Monday, November 28th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Welland.

                    He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Sokoloski) (1996) and his son Jerry (2005). Loving father of Richard Kolwich and his wife Ellen, and father-in-law of Barbara Kolwich. Forever remembered with love by his grandchildren Jeff (Kate), Greg (Heather), Kathy (John), David, Tracy, Tricia and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Anne Boichuk. Mr. Kolwich was the longest-standing member of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church where he was a life-long and faithful parishioner.

Mr. Sroka was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, The Canadian Polish Society, SPK in St. Catharines and the former Polish Canadian Legion, Branch 558.

Saturday, December 3 - James Hamill McShane  passed away at the Extended Care Unit of the Welland Hospital at the age of 78. Funeral Mass 1:30pm, Monday, December 5th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will be held at the family plot at a later date.

                    He is reunited with his beloved wife Agnes (Kukhta). Dear brother of Pat McShane (Joyce) and Mike McShane (Linda). Mr. McShane is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and relatives in the Kukhta family. He was predeceased by his parents James and Eleanor McShane, and his brother Jack. He was a carpenter for many years and finished his working career as a real estate agent.

Tuesday, December 6 - The Sts. Peter and Paul Seniors Club will hold their annual Christmas Dinner at 5:30 PM at the Polish Hall on Ontario Road. Dinner will be served 6:00 PM sharp!  Six dollars will be collected at the door from each member.
