War of 1812 Genealogical Research

Over the past few years requests for information on War of 1812 ancestors have literally poured in. The subject matter is a difficult one, that can take family members years to reseach. I was able to meet with the great-great-great-grandson of Robert White who wrote the moving letter posted on this site of his first hand experence during the actual siege of Fort Erie. He kindly gave me permission to share this through my site. I unfortunately have not been able to help those who have asked me to assist them with some minor acception.

The following links should help and over the next year, I will be endeavouring to create a more interactive site that will hopefully lend some support in this direction. I will be looking for suggestions and even help, especially from those who have access to information. In the meantime, a link of useful sites will be shown here and those wishing to include their site are welcome to contact me to this end.

Good luck to all and please don't hestitate to contact me if there is something that your wish to share with others. Best Regards,

John Sek
