
Peter Hare was a "Private Gentleman" from the Mohawk Valley. He was commissioned a Captain on 8 February 1781. The date of the first muster and the service of the company has yet to be determined. After the war Hare settled in Niagara and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and commanded the 3rd Regiment, Lincoln Militia.
